Richwood Golf Club was constructed in 1968 on farm land owned by the family since before the turn of the century. It is a 9 hole, par 35, public golf club on 52 acres of rolling hills and spectacular views. Open all year (weather permitting in the winter season ). The course consists of 3 par 3, 4 par 4, and 2 par 5 holes. A challenging layout for the beginner as well as the experienced golfer.

Richwood Golf course is located in the foothills of Bluefield, a beautiful, mountainous community that straddles the borders of West Virginia and Virginia. In 1968, Richwood began providing a relaxing, yet challenging atmosphere to resident and traveling players. 36 years later, and Richwood has never looked back. It has retained its position as a prominant golfing destination in Southwestern Virginia.

Richwood has taken full advantage of the open, undulating terrain to create a looping 9 hole course with incredible open drives, challenging water hazards, and views that are a "must see". Owner Bill Rich has succeeded in crafting a masterful design at Richwood that presents as much a test of golf skills as any course regionally. Fortunately, he has also shown compassion for those less accomplished. Morning, afternoon, or evening, Richwood provides a classic setting for the learning novice, or serious professional.
